Educational Week

another week had passed & 4 more weeks to go before my DNC end! can't wait for the day come coz i seem to lost touch with my turf(H clinic). but frankly speaking this indoor course was quite fun & of coz tat will include my DNC mates who are nice, funny & playful! we are having great times during the attachments! this week, my attachment with Irma at MAC clinic. becoz of the OT scrub suit we are wearing, both of us kinda like house keepers.

26/11/06, thurs PM. we had an educational visit to Silra Home, a home specially for leprosy patients. they are being abandoned by their family & relatives becoz of this dreadful condition, leprosy. felt very pitiful for them becoz the disease had robbed their limbs away & there is no cure for this condition. its only maintenance to prevent the disease from relapse.

squeezing into the lift to grab a pic & can u imagine tat those items in the cupboard are made by those leprosy patients? imagine them not having any fingers to do the art & crafts? waoz... tats really skillful! i can't imagine me doing all these "without my precious fingers" & i pre-order a few pouchs from them coz its really nice. tout of giving away as gifts. hehe...

their dormitory is so open, people could juz see everything from the upper level. becoz they are kept away from the public so wat they did during free time, they do gardening. heard from Francise, the person in charge of Silra, tat they sometimes experience breeding new species from the plants. tats creative! saw a plant with different types of flowers growing on it! cool! in the multi purpose hall, they shared a big tv & do all kind of activites over there. their lifestyles are so simple & i can tell u i dun think i would survive there, not even a day!

27/10/06, Fri. another educational visit to MOM & its my 1st time ever being there. ever since the 911 incident, the place is really tight in security.

have u ever seen a pink rabbit with so many ears? haha... we juz love fooling around!

wonder wat the 3 of them looking at? haha... anyway a proper shot finally BUT the logo of MOM not taken properly. blame on the security lady who took for us. actually we are not supposed to take any pics at the lobby becoz of the security but luckily Dr Choy wif us!

finally coming whole week, i will be attached to DSC, Sexually Transmitted Clinic! haha... 2nd time attach there! gotta work with my Li Jin over there! another eye-opening visit to brothel too! eager to visit the red distincts of spore! hehe... & oh ya, gonna to buck up my practice on full smear procedure too!!! =p

this week at MAC, Mandalay Clinic

SIM classes finally ended last week but still got 1 last assignment to finish up. this week attached to day surgery, newly opened MAC, laser suites at NSC. my 1st day there, i was totally lost inside! the setting was like a maze & the place is damn nice loh, looks like a high class hotel!!! god... but if given me a choice to choose, i rather choose to work at the day surgery than in clinic C. at least the workflow is better than clinic C. BUT of coz if can stay permanent at clinic H, my own territory, i definitely root on there till my last day!!! haha... anyway tml last day at MAC, will take some pics of the clinic! hehe...

while scanning through my organiser, i realised i still got loads of stuffs to settle. my lists of events things to do as below:-

1. Silira House visit on the 26th Oct (part of my indoor course, will be paying a visit to those abandoned leprosy patients. they very poor things leh..)

2. Visit to Yakult Factory under MOM on the 27th Oct (part of my indoor course. wonder if we can get any free yakult drinks?~? lolz..)

3. NSC Sat clinic on the 28th Oct (forgotten help who to cover, anyway got OT $$$. hehe...)

4. Attachment to STI clinic for 1 week, 29th Oct to 3rd Nov, including a brothel visit (my indoor course again. well, this brothel visit can be an eye-opening coz will be going to the red distincts in spore to see the prostitutes' working environment. can also catch those "naughty uncles" asking for services over there. hehe...)

5. Singhealth conference on wound management on the 3rd Nov. (NOT under my indoor course but recommended by Dr Mark to attend coz tats his fav field! so tat future, can help him with his wound patients. have to present to the rest of colleagues after attending. sianz...)

6. due date for my SIM assignment, last DNC exam papers & my buddy, Earlene's wedding in the evening on the 6th Nov (waoz... busy day to cope)

7. NHG Sentosa trip on the 11th Nov. (yearning for it to come coz been ages since i stepped into Sentosa!)

8. Incentive trip to malacca/KL by cruise on the 15th to 17th Nov, organised by NSC (can't wait the day to come coz my 1st virgin cruise trip!!! Lolz...)

9. Finally!!! pass out day for my DNC on the 21st Nov

guess tat i will be quite busy during tis 2 mths but not so bad coz not much of stress to face. actually wat i wan now, is a BREAK from my workplace! yearning for my Dec leave to come soon. i wan to get away from tat unorganised & messy workplace & away from tat buzzing bee! haiz... enough of my nonsenses, life still have to carry without her at work. haiz...

I want a baby.... =p

felt like a pig, slept until 3+ then woke up today... was tired & busy since friday. i also didn't realise tat the past firday was firday the 13th until my friend told me & then i got this ang moh patient told me he was not superstitious abt it. Actually i'm not too but mayb until something really bad happen, i guess i might really beware of this "special" day?! Haha...

anyway my DNC friends & me catch a movie on tat "creepy" friday the 13th. we watched the true story of the 911 incident happened 5 yrs ago in new york, World Trade Centre. it was really a nice & touching movie. made me crying away throughout the movie. DAMN THOSE SUICIDE HIJACKERS!!! caused so many deaths in this tragic event.. felt pitiful for the victims & their family members... think i rate this movie 5 out of 5 stars! recommend to watch! =)



PS. not suitable for those super duper emotional movie-lovers, if u do watch, pls prepare a box of tissue beside u! =p

before watching this show, my petty blockhead kinda like throw tanturms to me. said i rather watch movie with my friends than with him. haiz... there he goes again... so in order to coax him, i suggested we catch another midnight show & luckily i went for it! we watched the "Rob-B-Hood"!!! DAMN HILARIOUS & CUTE!!! esp the cutie Matthew who starred the baby, worth of 30 millions!!! oh my god! i want a baby like him! haha... esp his eyes, so big & beautiful!!! another 5 stars rated for this movie! got some cute pics of the show from the web.

PS. for those planning for a baby, watch this! teach u how to take care of BB!~! haha... anyway this movie MUST WATCH, ok? hehe...

watched this show until 2+am & i was damn slpy after tat. still need to work on sat morning as OT. in the 1st place, it's not me, working but no staff to replace so i work loh... need $$$. hehe... after my work, i still got another event to attend in the later nite, my polymate, Sara's wedding. was damn tired, not having enough slp too but have to drag myself down to attend the wedding. haiz, think i force myself too much recently. anyway i was happy for Sara tat she finally settled down & she was gorgerous tat evening!!! here are the pics!

taken with all my polymates. times really pass fast, one by one, my friends got settle down, planning for baby, taking care of their baby, etc... hmmm, when will be my turn?~? guess another 3-4 yrs bah coz i still wan to have fun!!! =p
